1.Purpose

This Privacy Policy explains how IPTV GO processes data related to the use of the application.

IPTV GO respects the privacy of its users and limits data collection to what is strictly necessary for the application to function.

IPTV GO does not have its own backend.

IPTV GO does not use any analytics tool.

IPTV GO does not use targeted advertising.

IPTV GO may however use certain third-party services necessary for the application to function, in particular iCloud, TMDB, Apple and VLCKit.

3.Data processed by IPTV GO

Depending on the features used, IPTV GO may process the following data.

3.1 Profile data

IPTV GO may process:

  • profile name;
  • profile avatar or icon;
  • preferences associated with the profile;
  • display settings;
  • playback settings.

This data is used to personalize the user experience within the application.

3.2 Data related to playlists and user sources

When the user adds a source to IPTV GO, the application may process:

  • playlist URL;
  • M3U URL;
  • server URL;
  • Xtream Codes credentials;
  • username;
  • password or access token;
  • EPG URL;
  • playlist name;
  • categories from the playlist;
  • technical data associated with the source.

This data is provided voluntarily by the user.

IPTV GO does not provide these sources and does not verify their content.

3.3 Internal application usage data

IPTV GO may process locally or via iCloud:

  • favorites;
  • playback history;
  • playback progress;
  • content marked as watched;
  • custom categories;
  • category order;
  • filter preferences;
  • player preferences;
  • display preferences;
  • profile-related settings.

This data is used solely for the application to function and to personalize the user experience.

3.4 Technical data

IPTV GO may process certain technical data necessary for the application to function, in particular:

  • application version;
  • tvOS version;
  • Apple TV model;
  • device language;
  • approximate region;
  • information necessary for technical compatibility;
  • technical logs strictly necessary for local diagnostics.

IPTV GO does not use this data for advertising or analytics purposes.

4.Local storage and iCloud

IPTV GO may store certain data locally on the user's Apple TV.

IPTV GO may also use iCloud to sync or back up certain data across Apple devices linked to the user's Apple account.

This may include:

  • profiles;
  • playlists;
  • added URLs;
  • preferences;
  • favorites;
  • history;
  • playback progress;
  • custom categories;
  • application settings.

IPTV GO does not have its own server to store this data.

iCloud sync depends on Apple services, the user's Apple account, their iCloud settings, service availability and internet connectivity.

The user can manage certain iCloud data from the Apple settings of their device or Apple account.

5.Credentials and sensitive playlist data

Certain sources added by the user may contain credentials, passwords, tokens or private URLs.

The user is responsible for the confidentiality of this information.

IPTV GO uses this data solely to allow the user to access the sources they themselves added.

IPTV GO does not resell this data.

IPTV GO does not use it for advertising purposes.

IPTV GO does not transmit it to a backend of its own.

This data may nevertheless be technically transmitted to servers configured by the user when the application attempts to load a playlist, an EPG, a stream or an associated resource.

6.Use of TMDB

IPTV GO may use TMDB to retrieve metadata related to content displayed in the application.

This metadata may include:

  • titles;
  • posters;
  • images;
  • descriptions;
  • release dates;
  • genres;
  • cast;
  • movie or show information;
  • TMDB identifiers.

When a metadata search or match is performed, certain information may be sent to TMDB, for example:

  • the searched title;
  • the type of content searched;
  • the search language or region;
  • the movie or show identifier;
  • the technical query required by the API.

TMDB does not provide the video content played in IPTV GO.

TMDB is used solely to enrich the display with metadata.

Processing carried out by TMDB is subject to its own terms and privacy policies.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

7.Use of VLCKit

IPTV GO may use VLCKit to play certain content or video formats.

VLCKit is a media playback software library.

VLCKit does not provide any content, playlist, stream or IPTV subscription.

The use of VLCKit serves solely to enable the technical playback of sources configured by the user.

8.Apple in-app purchases

IPTV GO may offer in-app purchases or premium features via the App Store.

Payments are processed by Apple.

IPTV GO does not directly collect the user's banking information.

Apple may process certain data related to purchases, subscriptions, refunds, renewals or transactions according to its own rules.

IPTV GO may receive or process certain technical information necessary to verify purchase or subscription status, for example:

  • purchase status;
  • subscription status;
  • product identifier;
  • transaction information necessary to unlock features.

This data is used solely to activate, maintain or restore features purchased within the application.

9.No analytics or targeted advertising

IPTV GO does not use any analytics tool.

IPTV GO does not track the user for advertising purposes.

IPTV GO does not sell its users' personal data.

IPTV GO does not use user data to build an advertising profile.

IPTV GO does not display targeted advertising based on the user's personal data.

10.Data sharing

IPTV GO does not sell its users' personal data.

Certain data may nevertheless be processed by third-party services necessary for the application to function:

  • Apple, for the App Store, tvOS, iCloud and in-app purchases;
  • TMDB, for retrieving metadata;
  • VideoLAN / VLCKit, for video playback technology;
  • servers or sources configured directly by the user.

IPTV GO does not control the privacy practices of third-party services or sources added by the user.

The user is invited to review the privacy policies of any third-party services they use.

11.Security

IPTV GO implements reasonable measures to protect the data processed within the application.

The user remains responsible for:

  • the security of their Apple TV;
  • their Apple account;
  • their credentials;
  • the sources they add;
  • the confidentiality of their URLs and access;
  • the third-party services they use.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12.Data retention

Data stored locally in IPTV GO is retained for as long as the user keeps the application, profile or associated data.

Data synced via iCloud is retained according to the user's iCloud settings and Apple's applicable rules.

The user can delete certain data directly from the application when the features allow it.

Deleting the application may result in the deletion of associated local data.

Deleting iCloud data may require an action in Apple settings or in the options provided by the application.

13.User rights

In accordance with applicable regulations, the user may have the following rights:

  • right of access;
  • right of rectification;
  • right of erasure;
  • right to object;
  • right to restriction of processing;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to withdraw consent when processing is based on it;
  • right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority.

When data is stored only locally or in the user's personal iCloud space, IPTV GO may not be technically able to access this data directly. In this case, the user can delete or manage this data from the application, their device, or their iCloud settings.

14.Children's data

IPTV GO is not specifically intended for children.

Use of IPTV GO by a minor must take place under the responsibility of their legal guardians.

IPTV GO does not intentionally seek to collect personal data concerning minors.

15.Transfers outside the European Union

Certain third-party services used by IPTV GO, in particular Apple or TMDB, may process certain data outside the European Union.

This processing is subject to the privacy policies and guarantees specific to these services.

IPTV GO does not have its own backend to centralize user data.

16.Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Publisher may amend this Privacy Policy to reflect:

  • changes to the application;
  • new features;
  • legal or regulatory changes;
  • App Store requirements;
  • technical developments;
  • the addition or removal of third-party services.

The applicable version is the one available in the application or on the official IPTV GO website at the time of use.
